Salvation, or sozo in Greek, means “deliverance from”, and that includes healing. In Acts 10:38, Apostle Peter is in the home of Cornelius explaining Who Jesus is; “Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and with great power. He did wonderful things for others and divinely healed all who were under the tyranny of the devil, (slanderer-liar) for God had anointed Him.”

We know Jesus is anointed to heal people, cast out demons, and raise the dead. Before departing Earth for Heaven, Jesus tells His disciples to do the same; “As you go into all the world, preach openly the wonderful news of the gospel to the entire human race! Whoever believes the good news and is baptized will be saved (sozo) and whoever does not believe the good news will be condemned. And these miracle signs will accompany those who believe: They will drive out demons in the power of My name. They will speak in tongues. They will be supernaturally protected from snakes and from drinking anything poisonous.  And they will lay hands on the sick and heal them.” (Mark 16:15 – 18)

Understand that as a disciple of Jesus we’re commanded, and given the authority, to preach the Gospel, cast out demons, heal the sick, raise the dead, and announce the year of Jubilee; now that’s good news!

The power force behind this is Holy Spirit, that’s why it’s important that we receive Him. He’s our Guide on this Earth. Everywhere Jesus went, He heard from Father God, saw what needed to be corrected, then reached out and corrected those things. Before ascending into Heaven, Jesus promised us Holy Spirit; “But when the Father sends the Spirit of Holiness, the One like Me who sets you free, He will teach you all things in My name. And He will inspire you to remember every word that I’ve told you.” (John 14:26)

What does it take to receive our healing? Belief! Be determined that you’re not going to live any other way! Belief, faith, or trust is like a muscle, we exercise it and it becomes stronger.

Get rid of negative thoughts and negative talk. Don’t agree with those who speak

condemnation, worry, sickness, or sarcasm! Rebuke these words replacing them with positive thoughts and words. Take the Word of God, mix it with faith, and we’ll have what we expect. That’s a promise from our triune God! (Hebrews 4:2)
